The Pan-Asian Garden was created in the year 2000, and includes many of the elements of a traditional Japanese Garden, but features a more eclectic theme. The main entry of the garden is through a portal-like opening or 'Moon Gate.' Another dramatic element featured in this Garden, is a horseshoe-shaped area surrounded by towering redwoods. Conceived as a meditation garden, the redwoods surround a lush lawn area. In the center is a cluster of 'Power Boulders' reminiscent of Devils' Post-pile National Monument. These boulders have been drilled so that water rises out of their peaks and washes them with a soothing layer of water.
