Artistic Flagstone was born when I decided to get rid of my rear lawn and was casting around for the right paving material to replace it with. Over the years I had accumulated stockpiles of different types of left over flagstone from different jobs. The idea entered my mind that I might build a patio with different fields of complimentary material if I introduced a unifying element. The element worked out to be banding of shattered brick and Cobalt Blue tile. The end result implies dry stream beds becoming increasingly wet and gathering into a central area with standing water.
